As a Product Manager of Controller Apps, you will develop and drive strategy and implementation for embedded software apps that run on HID controllers. You will drive requirements and investments with key stakeholders and own the product's virtual P&L all while driving commercial, technical and partner alignment.

HID’s Physical Access Control Solutions Department:
HID PAC’s Business Unit focuses on the growth of new clients and existing clients where we leverage the latest card and reader technologies to solve the security challenges of our clients. Other areas of focus will include authentication, card sub systems, card encoding, Biometrics, location services and all other aspects of a physical access control infrastructure.
As our Product Manager, Controller Apps , you’ll support HID’s success by:
Leading the evolution of HID’s controller technology partner community along with commercialization of the licensing and distribution of controller apps
Document market requirements for the app environment and SDK, including new APIs that app ideas generate
Working closely with product owners and engineering to clarify requirements and validate the engineering response of proposed solutions
Developing and executing comprehensive go-to-market strategies for development environment enhancements and new app launches, including developing pricing strategies and supporting the development of channel strategies
Planning go-to-market (GTM) with product marketing and commercial leaders, support the creation of marketing and sales materials, train the sales staff and key partners
Working together with technology partners and internal marketing communications groups to form product positioning and create sales and marketing materials for development environment and software app launches
Working with developer support staff and product owners to identify necessary product documentation and support requirements for technology partners
Measuring and reporting on performance of licensed apps and be ultimately accountable for their success on the controller platform
Performing competitive analysis, identifying opportunities to differentiate and win, driving ideas and collaboration amongst the development team and other internal stakeholders
Driving outcomes, institute a results-oriented mindset, developing and implementing metrics that evaluate effectiveness of the product line
Following up with customers to discover and record use of launched features

Must be able to present ideas and projects before groups of individuals
Additional major international languages are a plus
Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Familiar CRM tools and analysis such as Salesforce.com
Experience with Jira and Miro is beneficial, but not required
Your Experience and Education include:
Bachelor's degree (Master is beneficial but not required)
5+ years of experience in similar role
Experience in software product management
Experience in software licensing models and systems
Product Management experience across multiple customer types, technologies and product development methodologies
Knowledge of the physical access control industry is desirable
