National Account Manager

Location: Field based / South of England with travel to our Gatwick office & London Hub as required by the business (min 2 days per week, either Gatwick office or London Hub).

Salary: £40k-£45k dependent upon experience + car + potential bonus + other fantastic benefits

Position Summary

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Out of Home (OOH) team here at Nestlé Professional as National Account Manager on the Contract Catering team to manage some of our key contract catering head office accounts.

You will have direct responsibility for the management and development of defined Categories within these accounts - working in close collaboration with the Contract Catering Lead and the wider Team driving direct engagement and development in these accounts and sectors.

A day in the life of a National Account Manager ….

You will manage some of our key contract catering head office accounts, and take ownership of the defined Categories to drive sales and distribution of the Nestlé portfolio across these accounts.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver required level of NPS across your various customer portfolios

  • Effectively manage all budgetary requirements, including the agreed investment across these customer portfolios, to deliver against targets.

  • Deliver required level and new points of distribution across these customer portfolios through close collaboration with the Account Lead and wider team members

  • Monitor and analyse customers performance, identifying trends to accurately forecast business performance. Develop corrective/accelerating actions in order to achieve business objectives

  • Drive clear direction through Category Plans aligned to the overall Customer strategies and customer need, supported by ownership of contact strategy with key stakeholders by customer across portfolio to promote retention & growth.

  • Own all aspects of day-to-day administration required to support customer ledger

What will make you successful

To be successful, you’ll already have some fantastic sales experience under your belt, and will be passionate, tenacious; results focused and enjoy working in a highly energetic and exciting environment.

You will also have the following skills & experience:

  • A proven track record of Sales in the FMCG/Foodservice Industry managing some key national customers, to include OOH

  • Experience of managing contract caterers would be advantageous, but is not essential

  • Successfully delivered on KPIs, especially top and bottom-line business results including successful new business delivery vs. stretching targets

  • Established Customer Key Account management skills focused on collaboratively driving Joint Business plans aligned at a top-to-top level between the Customer and Nestlé Professional

  • The ability to analyse data, "join the dots" - build insights based on analysis and develop plans to address new opportunities

  • Successful negotiation experience

  • Influencing & networking across a broad spectrum of stakeholders, including senior level

  • The Ability to work cross functionally and influence internal 'stakeholders'
