Naval Sea Systems Command ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in Crane, Indiana

Summary You will serve as an Administrative/Technical Specialist in the Spectrum Deputy Department Director Division, Spectrum Warfare Systems Department of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $134,435). Responsibilities You will serve as the Government SAP Security Officer (GSSO) for multiple Spectrum Special Projects across different divisions. You will coordinate with Program Security Officer (PSO) and the Government Program Manager (GPM) for each program, to create a secure environment to facilitate the successful development and execution of a Special Access Program SAP. You will adhere to applicable laws as well as national, DoD, and other security SAP/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) policies and requirements. You will develop all local site procedures and implement all program policies, procedures, standards, training, and methods for protecting information and program assets from misuse, theft, and loss. You will conduct annual self-inspections, document, and submit self-inspections to the Cognizant Security Authority (CSA). You will, if needed, act as a Site Security Manager (SSM) for new construction of Special Access Program Facilities (SAPF) utilizing ICD-705 standards. You will, when deemed necessary, be designated as the Top-Secret Control Officer (TSCO) who will be responsible for the receipt, dispatch, transmission, and maintenance of access, accountability, and inventory records for TS SAP material. You will perform the Communications Security custodian (COMSEC) for each assigned program. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 pay band (GS-11/12 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing security policies and procedures to identify or resolve problems affecting the effectiveness of a Personnel, Physical, or Information security program.
