Omnicell Sr. Technical Trainer in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania

Senior Clinical Onsite Trainer

The Omnicell Clinical Onsite Trainer will serve as Omnicell’s implementation education and solutions consultant. The Clinical Onsite Trainer provides preceptor education and clinical workflow support for internal and external customers throughout North America. Partnering with the field implementation organization, this position develops customer relationships, conducts customer workflow analysis, and recommends education and troubleshooting strategies, when needed, to help resolve customer issues.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure successful clinical adoption of Omnicell solutions

  • Plan for, coordinate, and lead preceptor education sessions for physicians, nurses, and other healthcare users

  • Perform workflow analysis, provides consulting on workflow changes that need to occur with the implementation of new functionality solutions and validates post-go-live to resolve gaps or outstanding issues.

  • Partner with the Instructional Design team to design, develop, and deliver training that meets customer and employee needs.

  • Participate in developing quality measurement tools to ensure that documentation and training are accurate and understandable from a user standpoint.

  • Gather information from multiple resources, including cross-functional teams, to understand the enhancements and changes for each new product release.

  • Design and prepare role-based education plans to support the specific solutions being implemented

  • Develop or oversee the production of classroom handouts, instructional materials, job aids and manuals

  • Configure the training environment to prepare for use in the classroom

  • Direct structured learning experiences and monitor for their quality results

  • Provide input to new hire training and ongoing user training during system changes and upgrades

  • Act as lead for special projects, critical accounts, or other high-stakes projects

  • Analyze data results from surveys and create educational improvement plans

  • Utilize tools to evaluate the effectiveness of current educational practices including printed training materials and onsite training. Aggregate resulting data, analyze and create an improvement plan within a reasonable timeframe

  • Lead continuous improvement projects utilizing proven methodology, to enhance the Customer Onsite Training team methods and processes for increased efficiency

  • Participating in cross-functional team meetings, conducting needs analysis and guiding content development for training execution and delivery

  • Provides consultative Best Practice recommendations

  • Mentor new team members

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Demonstrates excellent presentation and training facilitation skills (against standard Omnicell Facilitation of Learning competency)

  • Ability to mentor all new staff to role

  • Ability to measure and evaluate staff training needs

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, leadership, and prioritization skills

  • Self-motivated and accountable

  • Maintaining a flexible schedule to accommodate clinical hours for training

  • Foster a positive and collaborative environment within the team

  • Ability to train on all supported product lines (e.g., AWS, XT, Rx or RN).

  • Skilled in delivering draining on all differentiators (e.g., SinglePointe, Anywhere RN, etc.).

Required Qualifications

  • Clinical experience in pharmacy and/or nursing

  • 5 years of demonstrated clinical education/consulting experience in acute/non-acute settings

  • 3 years of demonstrated experience working with Omnicell products and solutions

  • Experience leading educational process for large, multisite accounts

  • Experience working interdepartmentally, engaging key players throughout multiple disciplines

Work Conditions:

  • Position is field-based.

  • Position requires 70% or more overnight travel.

  • Will require long periods of both sitting, standing, and staring at computer screens.
