Responsibilities

What you will get to do in this role:

• * Collaborate with various stakeholders to define and implement data management strategies, policies, and governance frameworks
• * Establish and enforce data standards, naming conventions, and data classification frameworks
• * Implement and monitor data governance processes, including data access controls, data retention policies, and data life cycle management
• • Provide leadership and drive the creation and maintenance of robust master data processes and governance
• * Participates in the development of data policies, including data retention, data privacy, data use, and data regulation
• * Develops policies and procedures to ensure appropriate access rules are in place and access groups are defined and maintained
• • Provide thought leadership and participate with projects that involve any of the upstream or downstream data flows and processes
• * Helps to identify, report, analyze, and resolve data issues related to uniqueness, integrity, accuracy, consistency, and completeness by working with the business owners and Data Platform Team
• * Provide guidance and leadership to domain owners and data stewards regarding best practices for managing the corporate data catalog

Likely breakdown of focus areas:

• • Work with various stakeholders and the legal team to understand internal and external governance needs (40%)
• • Work with the platform team to implement a governance system (30%)
• • Create and maintain governance policies, metrics, and processes (20%)
• • Present data governance and compliance reports to the data strategy leadership (10%)

Qualifications

Education & Experience Requirements:

• • 5+ years of experience in Data Governance and Data Quality (or similar) roles
• • Knowledge of Data Stewardship and Data Ownership processes
• • Bachelor's degree in information technology, business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
