Role Summary
Here at Parker Meggitt, we’re recruiting for a Senior Project Engineer who will be based at our state-of-the-art facility in Ansty Park. We’re looking for someone with extensive experience who’ll be confident in leading an array of R&D projects which will advance our technology and process capability in the design and manufacture of high performance additively manufactured components and systems. These are primarily focused on aerospace, with a smaller number of motorsport and energy programmes, funded via commercial, internal and government grant sources.
This is a fantastic opportunity that would suit an individual that is looking to work in a rewarding, fast-paced and team focused organisation and is able to regularly travel between our Bristol and Ansty Pak sites.
Core Responsibilities
Creating work package breakdowns, engineering resource estimates and compiling these together to create and maintain robust project plans
Liaising between technical and manufacturing teams to ensure timely task progress and broaden awareness of project milestones
Communicating task progress and timelines to customers and managing scope change
Maintaining estimates of business load/capacity, liaising with the financial team to reflect these in cost models
Working with Monitoring Offers on grant funded projects to track project progress and ensure successful delivery / close out
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
Full UK drivers license
Strong background in project / programme management techniques, ideally including research or low TRL project experience
Familiarity with grant funded project management protocols as used by Innovate UK, ATI, EU Horizon
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Presentation skills
Ability to influence stakeholders
Ability to work independently and prioritise duties with minimal supervision, in order to meet deadlines
Ability to visualize and plan objectives and goals strategically
Proficient in Project Management tools (i.e., MS Project) or similar
Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web-browsers
