St. Charles Community College Adult Education (AEL) Instructor - Project-based - (registration duties only) in Cottleville, Missouri

St. Charles Community College is located just west of St. Louis, nestled in the heart of growing St. Charles County. Established in 1986, SCC is a public, comprehensive two-year community college offering associate degrees and certificate programs in the arts, business, sciences and career-technical fields. SCC also provides workforce training and community-based personal and professional development as well as cultural, recreational and entertainment opportunities.

The Corporate and Community Development Department at St. Charles Community College is seeking apart-time, project-based AEL Instructor. The instructor will be responsible forenrolling new students using appropriate enrollment procedures and documentation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assess students and assistant them in completing program information and goals.
  • Completes forms and reports with a high level of accuracy and detail
  • Maintain individual student folders that contain all pertinent information for each student including: enrollment information; test levels, dates, diagnostics, and scores; student progress plan; and student goals.
  • Conduct initial assessment of all students to determine individual classroom needs.
  • Perform periodic assessment of each student's progress and record the results accurately and appropriately

``` - Contact absent students. - Submit reports to the AEL office at least weekly,including enrollment forms, sign-in sheets, and test reports

Qualifications:Some college education is required. Previous experience working with adults and non-English speakers is strongly preferred. Ability to multitask while recording detailed information is mandatory. The right candidate will be detail oriented. Extensive training on assessment procedures and policies will be provided.

Salary:Starting at $15.00 per hour. Position is project-based and grant funded. Experience will be considered.

Hours:Hours are varied but the position will require evening and morning hours. This position will require appromximately 25-30 hours a month.
