Actalent Cad Drafter/designer in Cottage Grove, Minnesota

Job Title: CAD DesignerJob Description

The CAD Designer is responsible for creating and modifying 2-D CAD models to clearly represent design intent for custom products including grilles and shaped products for customer orders. This role involves maintaining high standards and best practices during model and documentation creation, validating and auditing engineering requests, and providing cross-functional groups with formatted CAD product data. The CAD Designer will also update 3-D engineering documentation, participate in training, develop visualizations for customer presentations, and assist in developing prototypes.

Hard Skills

  • Proficient 2D drafting skills

  • Basic 3D solid modeling CAD skills

  • Working knowledge of Product Data Management systems

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite

  • Experience with Microsoft Project Management tools

Soft Skills

  • Ability to maintain organized documentation

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to establish and maintain knowledge of internal and external customers

  • Capability to assist in schedule and timetable preparation

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Cottage Grove, Minnesota and some days remote.

Work Environment

Hybrid, allowing for remote work flexibility
