Amazon Finance Manager, AWS EMEA Accounting in Cork, Ireland

This position is office-based, with the flexibility to work remotely up to two days per week in line with Amazon’s current flexible work guidance. Amazon encourages open communication about unique needs for flexible arrangements.

Key job responsibilities

• Representing Accounting in cross functional geographic expansion and corporate restructuring projects

• Providing diligence to Business on the local compliance requirements when expanding in to new territories

• Business partnering with Tax, Legal, Transfer Pricing, HR and global Accounting teams

• Recording restructuring transactions in general ledger and monitoring accuracy of entries for month end close

• Driving liquidation / de-registration of dormant AWS entities in EMEA

• Developing in depth knowledge of the AWS business

• Collaborating with local and global Accounting teams to identify and implement process improvement initiatives

• Participating in preparation and review of statutory financial statements

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Cork, IRL

Basic Qualifications

  • University degree in Accounting or Finance

  • Accounting professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project Management experience / qualification

  • Significant Experience with financial reporting and audit, preferably gained within a Big Four firm.
