Job Summary and Qualifications

The Network Engineering team is seeking a knowledgeable, skilled engineering resource to handle hardware refreshes and code upgrades of various network infrastructure: route/switch hardware, firewalls, load balancers, proxies, etc. This is for the hardware in all HCA regional data centers and Colos in order to keep them at the standard levels for code and hardware to stabilize and maintain the corporate enterprise network and to mitigate and protect against security vulnerabilities. Primary focus is Network load-balancers (F5/A10).

Provide Enterprise data networking designs, services, consulting, and support in a fortune 100 company environment with national reach. These responsibilities will require the candidate to be a Subject Matter Expert across network technologies, services, and additional related components (as listed for this position). The candidate must provide solutions that meet HCA network requirements and maintain networking service levels.

This position will interact daily with the Availability Center, Customer Support, Business Partners, Vendors, IT&S personnel, as well as the end users on developing network solutions to meet business requirements. Excellent written and oral communications skills regarding presentations, technical white papers, and network proposals will be required. Project management and problem management skills are required to effectively meet business objectives and Service Level Agreements.

REQUIREMENTS

• Qualified candidates must have 3-7 years of Network Design experience

• College degree or 6+ years of network engineering experience

• Cisco CCNP or equivalent experience

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS

• Must be able to lift network components to build, rack and configure the devices.

• Some after-hours work will be required occasionally.

• Possible prolonged sitting at workstation.
