Amgen operates in Norway and Denmark as a combined affiliate, and this cluster is expected to be the biggest growth sales contributor in the entire WEMEA region in 2024. This Tender & Insights role will be part of the Value, Access and Policy + Life-cycle management team, which is responsible for legacy brands and biosimilars; for access-/reimbursement related activities for the commercial entities in both countries as well as external communication and the reputation of Amgen in Denmark and Norway.

Reporting to our Value Access & Policy Associate Director, the Tender & Insights Senior Associate will be a key contributor with regards to ensuring achievement of optimal pricing for Amgen’s products according to rules and legislative provisions; taking the lead in tender processes and pricing business case development; as well as providing strategic guidance to internal stakeholders ensuring patients’ access to innovative products and providing data-driven market insights to support BU-lead decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for products’ price submissions & approvals: conducts pricing research and provides pricing data during local re-pricing efforts, input pricing data to business cycle pieces (i.e. budget planning and reviews etc).

  • Maintain up-to-date local input to global operational pricing tools.

  • Monitors and describes relevant pricing insights, and provides pricing input to local and internal teams.

  • Maintaining high quality and up-to-date pricing information and liaise with Regional Pricing Team on pricing governance.

  • Supporting V&A Managers by gathering information & providing input regarding products’ HTA submissions & negotiations.

  • Analyze various data sources to answers & support access strategy for key pricing & policy questions for major brands.

  • Close collaboration with VA&P Managers, providing market insights to support future policy & access brand related strategies.

  • Partner with internal stakeholders on communicating market insights, trends, supporting value-based healthcare partnerships.

  • Develop data-driven analyses of market opportunities, treats and trends to support strategic decisions in BUs.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • University Degree in Health Economics, Life Sciences or related discipline.

  • 3-5 years of industry-relevant experience in different Access Areas, such as Pricing, Consulting, Modeling.

  • Strong project management skills with ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and engage in productive collaboration with senior leadership.

  • Fluency in Norwegian and/or Danish and English - oral and written communication.

  • Proven hands-on experience using Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Office software in general.

  • Good understanding of Danish and/or Norwegian healthcare system.

  • Proven tender and pricing experience.

  • Excellent analytical skills.

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience in similar or related discipline.

  • Experience with Danish and Norwegian pharma tender/pricing processes.

  • Basic knowledge of the function/business area supported such as safety, sales, customer service, etc.

  • Familiarity with terminology of area supported such as Marketing, Medical, Clinical Research, Logistics etc.
