Admissions Analyst

\$31,327/Yr.

Position Summary\ The Admissions Analyst is responsible for providing professional, academic, and educational support to the Director of Admissions and Enrollment Services, Associate Director of Admissions and Technology, and all other constituencies, including but not limited to administration departments, faculty and staff, students, and prospective students. The person in this position will work with and report to the Associate Director of Admissions and Technology. Some weekend and evening hours are required.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

-Provides overall assistance with evaluation and processing of all student applications for admission to the university\ -Assists with communication plans in terms of communicating with prospective students and their application status\ -Schedules appointments with constituencies to provide support and/or training regarding the admissions application process\ -Offers technical assistance and suggestions in designing, planning, and implementing various functions associated with the programs of the Office of Admissions and Enrollment Services\ -Assists the Associate Director of Admissions and Technology with reporting and evaluating of admission application processes and functions\ -Other duties as assigned to promote and support the Office of Admissions and Enrollment Services

-Knowledge of academic support skills and Arkansas admission guidelines\ -Knowledge of admissions policies and procedures\ -Ability to develop programming and training materials for the department\ -Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with current and prospective students, faculty, administrators, and high school counselors\ -Ability to work with little supervision on designated duties\ -Knowledge necessary to assist with research, development, evaluation, and revision of admission application processing\ -Ability to prepare assigned reports and maintain records

Required Education and/or Experience

The formal education equivalent of a bachelors degree with a major in sociology, public administration, or related field; plus two years of experience in program administration or related area. Additional requirements determined by the agency for recruiting purposes require review and approval by the Office of Personnel Management.
