Are you a detail-oriented payroll and benefits professional looking to take on a leadership role in a growing construction company? We are seeking a highly skilled Full Cycle Payroll and Benefits Office Manager to oversee all aspects of payroll processing and benefits administration. This role is critical in ensuring accurate, timely payroll operations and maintaining compliance with federal, state, and industry regulations.
As the primary payroll and benefits administrator, you will manage these essential functions on behalf of company ownership, representing a multi-million-dollar construction business in key financial and administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate is an experienced professional with exceptional attention to detail, compliance expertise, and strong analytical skills.
Payroll Processing: Collect and verify timecards, process payroll accurately, calculate wages and deductions, file payroll taxes, and reconcile accounts. Benefits Administration: Manage employee benefits programs, coordinate open enrollment, process deductions, and resolve benefit inquiries. Compliance Management: Ensure adherence to payroll and benefits laws, conduct audits, and maintain accurate records. Reporting and Analysis: Generate payroll reports, analyze costs, and provide insights for decision-making.
Required: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Preferred: Bachelors degree in a related field.
Minimum 5 years of full-cycle payroll processing and benefits administration, preferably in the construction industry. Experience with certified payroll reporting for construction projects is a plus.
Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex).
Knowledge of multi-state payroll regulations and union contracts (preferred).
Experience with construction project management software (preferred).
Strong understanding of payroll regulations, including tax laws, workers compensation, and prevailing wage requirements.
Attention to detail with excellent accuracy in handling financial data.
Effective communication skills to interact with employees, management, and external vendors.
Problem-solving ability to troubleshoot payroll and benefits issues efficiently.
