These positions will be located in our headquarters in Columbus, Ohio. Job Summary: Seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to support SciFinder Discovery Platform customer-facing product development teams. This role provides Quality Assurance functions for teams developing SciFinder features. Job Accountabilities: Help an Agile software-development team to build software applications and systems, creating or enhancing CAS products and services. Collaborate with your teammates and product owners to write acceptance criteria and groom backlogs of epics and stories for upcoming development sprints. Take software engineering to a new level, driving improvements in automated software testing, advanced change control, and continuous delivery. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline 8+ years of work experience in quality assurance in Agile Development environments Experience performing test case generation, coding Automated Tests, performing Manual and Automated testing, recording test progress and analyzing test results. Experience with web-based application testing (minimum 8+ yr) Analyze requirements, defines problems, collects data, establishes facts, draws valid conclusions, and provides solutions. Experienced with Exploratory testing: review user interfaces for consistency and functionality. Familiarity with Unit Tests, Integration Tests, End-to-End Tests, and Multi-Platform Tests Knowledge of Non-Functional Requirements: develop definition-of-done and practices to determine product quality and release readiness. Proven experience with software engineering practices such as continuous integration, code review, test-driven development, software builds and deployments. Identifies, communicates, and escalates issues as required. A team player and self-starter who will work side by side with the development team. Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks and quickly adjust in a rapidly changing environment. Experienced in programming and scripting.
