Job Title: MEP Designer

Job Description

We are currently seeking a MEP Designer to join our team in the Columbus Metropolitan area, providing support for a reputable A&E firm. As the MEP Designer, your focus will be on commercial building projects within various business units including Civil, Transportation, Energy, and Building Systems. Reporting to a Licensed Project Lead Engineer, you will assist in a mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design/engineering capacity. Your responsibility will also extend to managing the technical content of building projects and all steps of the project process. Utilizing AutoCAD and Revit design software, you will produce construction documents for commercial buildings, primarily for retail clients. You will also be tasked with performing preliminary calculations for HVAC, ventilation, electrical, plumbing sanitary and water supply systems. Training within all disciplines of MEP engineering is required, and there will be opportunities to learn in any areas where you may be deficient. This position offers a hybrid work schedule, with in-office days on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday and the option to work from home on Tuesday and Friday.

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Columbus, Ohio and some days remote.

Work Environment

Monday - Friday: 8am - 5pm. This role offers a hybrid work schedule, with in-office days on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday and the option to work from home on Tuesday and Friday. This privilege is offered after a few months of employment.
