As the market for home improvement services continues to be incredibly strong, our growth and the need for the best people is at an all-time high. To effectively support us in meeting market demands, we are seeking an experienced and dynamic sales management leader with Kitchen Remodeling experience to lead the growth of this product category from our Columbus, OH headquarters.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Kitchen Remodeling Sales Leader is responsible for driving profitable growth and meeting net revenue goals for this product category. The Kitchen Remodeling Sales Leader is an expert in selling this product line, has expert product knowledge, and continuously focuses on training, coaching, and mentoring in-home design consultants to reach their top sales performance. This leader also collaborates with sales leadership and support teams across the organization associated with key items such as in-home presentations, sales-aids, training materials, and related tools and assets.

The Kitchen Remodeling Sales Leader ensures we represent the best quality kitchen remodeling products, while keeping a pulse on new and emerging products and trends. While this role has no direct sales reports, this leader supports the success of kitchen sales in a significant way through in-depth product knowledge, consumer insights, excellent training acumen, and the drive to grow this product category. They will also have a personal sales quota, and perform regular ride-alongs with design consultants, shadowing them and providing coaching as appropriate.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position primarily works in an office environment, with some travel requirements to visit representatives in other sales offices.   

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Be the internal sales subject matter expert on our kitchen remodeling product line, including all options, configurations, and best practices.

  • Own our kitchen remodeling sales and training methodologies, always looking for ways to improve its effectiveness.

  • Regularly conduct sales training on our kitchen remodeling product line.

  • Assist in leading the sales team to the highest level of expertise and proficiency in creating, modifying and refining kitchen project designs to meet client’s specifications, design preferences, and production / construction limitations.

  • Master the utilization and training of technology tools for use in the home to showcase our product line and execute on the delivery of our sales methodology; train and support each design consultant to be highly proficient with these tools as well.   

  • Translate complicated technical design, configuration, and construction requirements into easy-to-understand language to ensure design consultants and customers can communicate effectively.

  • Assist and support sales leadership and design consultants in the coordination of kitchen remodeling jobs from sale to installation, providing support as needed with project questions, issues, holds, etc.

  • Analyze data and trends for overall kitchen sales and key performance metrics for each design consultant.

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge in the kitchen remodeling area, and continuously gather knowledge of trends by attending online educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks.

  • Personally handle approximately 150 appts per year, either by shadowing a design consultant or running leads with another sales leader.

  • Recommend changes in products, services, or policies by evaluating results and client feedback.

  • Product Knowledge – Strong kitchen remodeling product knowledge, including required understanding of construction requirements.

  • Problem Solving - Ability to find a solution for or to deal proactively with job-related challenges.

  • Analytical Skills – Ability to understand kitchen category KPIs and use data to ascertain areas where improvement is needed. 

  • Professionalism – Conduct and appearance is professional and to company standards and policies.

  • Communication – Ability to use highly effective verbal and written communication skills.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, Education, or similar field

  • Minimum of 5 years of proven sales training, product management, or sales management experience within a high-volume remodeling, residential construction, replacement contracting or similar organization; specific kitchen remodeling experience highly desired. 

  • Previous experience growing a new product line / product category within an organization.

  • Computer Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), SmartPhones, Tablets/iPads, and computer programs such as Salesforce, Ingage, etc., required.
