Job Summary: The Internal Auditor will assist management and external auditors with individual audit projects, along with assisting in the Company’s compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX). This includes the verification process of Company records and policies to determine and recommend improvements in operating efficiencies. Also, the Internal Auditor will assist in the assessment and determination over effectiveness of internal controls, accuracy of financial records, and the implementation of Company policies and procedures within laws and regulations to achieve Company goals and objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Reviews, analyzes and evaluates data obtained for evidence of operating effectiveness related to internal controls over financial reporting.

· Assists in financial and/or operational audits of divisions and corporate headquarters.

· Recommends improvements for efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance.

· Assists in preparing reports for management on audit findings.

· Performs special auditing projects for management as required.

· Assists external auditors with various audit procedures.

Requirements

Minimum Education/Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) with concentration in accounting or finance.

· Related work experience or internship.

Additional Skills and Abilities

· Ability to interpret, analyze and evaluate given information relative to auditing procedures and accounting principles within established guidelines and procedures.

· Proficient in MS Word and Excel.

· Good verbal and written communication skills for interaction with a variety of people inside and outside the organization.

· Strong analytical and organizational skills.

Work Conditions and Physical Requirements

· Office environment

· Frequent travel (generally up to 20%) required upon demand which includes overnight and weekly stays.
