Installing Groups & Builders LLC Human Resources Specialist in Columbus, Ohio
Job purpose: coordinate with management to maintain employee satisfaction, conduct new employee training, and implement company policies/procedures Job duties include: - Perform searches for qualified job candidates, using sources such as computer databases, networking, Internet recruiting resources, media advertisements, job fairs, recruiting firms, or employee referrals; - Review employment applications and job orders to match applicants with job requirements; - Interview job applicants to obtain information on work history, training, education, or job skills; - Conduct reference or background checks on job applicants; - Hire employees and process hiring-related paperwork; - Inform job applicants and new hires of the specific job duties and responsibilities, compensation, benefits, schedules, working conditions, or promotion opportunities; - Schedule and complete the onboarding and orientation process for all new employees; - Travel to facilities and job sites to train new hires as well as current employees on work and safety procedures and policies and/or changes in procedures or policies; - Develop and manage employee reward/incentive programs over multiple work sites; - Research and stay abreast of market standards relating to pay and fringe benefits; - Administer employee benefit plans; - Recommend to management new incentives and rewards programs to be implemented; - Prepare or maintain employment records related to events, such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions, using human resources management system software; - Confer with management to develop or implement personnel policies or procedures; - Conduct exit interviews and ensure that necessary employment termination paperwork is completed. Travel required 2 days per week to company's various job sites within Ohio and out-of-state, including in Colorado, Michigan, and Montana. Minimum Requirement: 36 months prior work experience as an HR Specialist, HR Coordinator, HR Leader, Corporate Recruiter, or related.
