Responsibilities:

The Quality Engineer Lead Auditor (BOS Coordinator) is responsible for coordinating actions of the Columbia Team to achieve or maintain IATF 16949 Certification.

Specific Duties:

  • The Quality Engineer Lead Auditor (BOS Coordinato r) organizes and ensures the completeness of BOS systems.

  • Maintain document control per BOS requirements.

  • Work with all levels of the Columbia Facility to maintain registration.

  • The Quality Engineer Lead Auditor (BOS Coordinator) coordinates the BOS internal audit process.

  • Authority and responsibility to stop the production line should a safety or quality issue appear.

  • Assists in the day-to-day management of the Environmental Management system. Following all environmental work instructions and/or cleaning up spills or other duties required of the Environmental 1st Response Team.

  • The Quality Engineer Lead Auditor (BOS Coordinator) actively participates in the Health, Safety, and Environmental program by following all policies, procedures, and work instructions that may include safety rules, safety observation audits, regulatory compliance, environmental awareness and audits, continuous improvement, investigations, and the 8D process in order to develop root cause analysis for problem resolution as required.

  • Reports accidents, occupational illnesses, and HSE&E emergencies, and informs supervisor of known HSE&E conditions which could adversely affect other team members, assets or to the public.

  • Ensures compliance with all safety procedures and ensures safe working procedures in assigned production areas.

  • Performs all roles and responsibilities as defined by the BOS System Policies and Procedures.

  • Completes all required and applicable training required by Adient and its customers.

  • Completes other duties considered necessary by the Plant Manager.

  • Reviews and understand the Customer Specific Requirements.

Qualification Requirements:

T o perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed above are representatives of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.

Education Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience Requirements:

Two or more years' experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Language Skills:

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

  • Ability to effectively present information in one-to-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills:

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

  • Must have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability and Skills:

  • Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

  • Must have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Other Abilities and Skills:

  • Must be computer literate and familiar with appropriate software programs.

  • Ability to create visual aids for communication purposes.

  • Knowledge of PC-based software including word-processing, spreadsheets, and email-based systems.
