Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Dispatcher in the Service industry, based in Columbia, South Carolina, United States. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity. As a Dispatcher, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the routing of service and delivery vehicles. You will utilize your skills in Microsoft Office Suites, communication, and customer service to ensure efficient operations.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and dispatch service and delivery vehicles based on schedules, routes, and products.

• Employ Microsoft Office Suites to maintain accurate records of dispatch information.

• Answer incoming calls and inquiries related to dispatch and delivery services.

• Communicate effectively with customers, drivers, and team members to ensure smooth operations.

• Provide excellent customer service, addressing and resolving any issues or complaints promptly.

• Utilize dispatching software to track and monitor delivery vehicles.

• Communicate with drivers and customers to provide updates and resolve delays or issues.

• Ensure all dispatch and delivery operations adhere to laws, regulations, and company policies.

• Analyze routes and provide feedback on efficiency and improvement opportunities.

• Continuously improve dispatching operations through active participation in planning and strategy meetings. Requirements

Must have prior Dispatch experience

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites is required

• Ability to answer and handle incoming calls efficiently

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent customer service skills with a customer-first mindset

• Experience in dispatching or similar role is preferred

• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

• Problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions

• High attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

• Flexibility to work in shifts, during weekends, or holidays if required

• High school diploma or equivalent education level is necessary

• Prior experience in the service industry would be an advantage.
