My client is actively seeking an experienced staff accountant to join their large accounting team. Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of all accounting and finance responsibilities for your assigned properties.

• Assist with budgeting and forecasting and explaining any variances.

• Allocate Common Area Maintenance expenses (CAM) and make sure they are billed and collected appropriately

• Reconcile all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.

• Record and ensure accuracy of all daily, monthly and recurring journal entries.

• Apply knowledge of GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley in daily operations

• Work independently and multitask effectively

• Utilize skills in Public Accounting, Public Accounting Audit, Audit - Financial, Commercial Real Estate, Month End Close, Journal Entries, General Journal to perform duties effectively.

  Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• Minimum of 1+ year of experience as a Staff Accountant

• Candidates from Public Accounting or Corporate Accounting encouraged to apply

• Familiarity with Month End Close procedures

• Ability to prepare Journal Entries and General Journal

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational and time management skills.
