We are looking for a talented, highly motivated, and team-oriented individual to own and continuously improve products within our Woodflow Planning suite of applications. We are a passionate, fast-moving team of IT professionals highly focused on partnering with our businesses to achieve success. These businesses rely on highly automated and efficient software solutions that our team of IT professionals proudly delivers through disciplined product management.
As an IT Product Owner II on Weyerhaeuser’s Timberlands Regeneration and Woodflow Planning team, your primary responsibility will be to perform Product Owner responsibilities for products within the Woodflow Planning suite of applications as detailed below.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Build relationships with Weyerhaeuser Timberlands business employees and:
- Understand their business requirements,
- Build the business case for change by identifying and quantifying benefits (including reduced user effort) through integration, automation, or simplification,
- Translate business desires into technical requirements,
- Collaborate on detailed design with other IT teams and/or software vendors.
Product Management
- Maintain the feature backlog in Aha!:
- Prioritize features with guidance from business Change Committee,
- Align and Negotiate feature priorities with Software Vendor,
- Align strategic priorities for owned products with higher-level business Change Board, contributing to product strategy and roadmap.
- Coordinate Software Releases
- Manage dependencies between product features, integrations, reports, and features of related applications,
- Create test scripts and coordinate testing for the features being delivered.
- Develop and Deliver training content for the end-users of the applications supported. Translate from technical jargon to how-to documentation for non-technical audience.
Project Delivery
- Participate in major changes to existing products or the delivery of new products in our portfolio through disciplined Project Methodology. Your duties will include:
- Lead activities and guide others through process decomposition and redesign.
- Document Functional requirements, Technical requirements, User stories, Test cases.
- Lead QA, UAT, User Training.
- Ensure Operational Readiness prior to go-live.
Governance
- Ensure owned Products comply with all IT Controls, Disaster Recovery, IT Security.
- Maintain a Playbook showing Warranty and Utility metrics.
- Tier 3 Support
- Partner with TWP Team in troubleshooting complex issues not solved by Tier 1 & 2
- Escalate issues to vendor for support, as necessary.
- Manage software licenses efficiently, granting appropriate licenses timely, removing inactive users, truing up license file with vendor to ensure no wasted spend.
- Training and empowering Tier 1 & 2 support to handle more complex support issues.
- Monitor accuracy of data integrations to/from Products owned, intervening to rectify inaccuracies that arise.
- Work independently, progressing toward high-level goals, providing status, and raising blocking issues in a timely manner.
Experience:
- Minimum of three (3) years of progressive, relevant information technology experience with a focus on product management and the software development lifecycle.
- Experienced in business process modelling, analysis, and documentation. understanding of data and dataflows.
- Functional understanding of IT Governance, IT Audit, and implementing Product Controls to maintain compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and adopt new technology.
- Proficiency with a wide variety of technologies and a fundamental knowledge of how various technologies are integrated. Experience is desirable in the following areas: o Data: SQL Server, Oracle, BI Reporting/PowerBI. o Web: Restful APIs o Application / UI design & mock-up. o Azure: Web Services; DevOps; o Mobile / Handheld Device support & troubleshooting
Education:Associate’s degree or equivalent experience required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

- Strong Communication skills, written and verbal. Ability to connect with audiences of varying background and level.
- Functional ability to document functional designs for relevant products (user stories w/ acceptance criteria, process diagrams, admin knowledge articles, user guides)
- Proficient ability to write test scripts/plans and lead UAT testing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to synthesize information & processes from multiple sources, finding the common threads as well as highlighting the differences.
- Ability to rapidly convert high level strategies or ideas into tactical framework proposals for evaluation.
- Excellent collaboration skills in working across all IT segments and with business leaders; actively soliciting input from others and promoting an environment where all team members feel comfortable sharing and discussing their ideas and where the opinions of others are respected.
- Proficient organizational abilities and customer service skills.
Location: This position is located in Weyerhaeuser’s Seattle Headquarters or select Regional Office with physical presence requirements governed by Return to Office policy. Currently (and for foreseeable future) requiring presence in office Tuesday-Thursday with flexibility to work remotely Monday and Friday.
Travel:Some travel (up to 20%) may be expected to build and maintain relationships within the team and business community and in support of project work.
What We Offer:
Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $95,000 - $142,500 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 10% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

Retirement: Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan, which includes a paid company match in addition to our annual contribution equal to 5% of your base salary.
Paid Time Off or Vacation: We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3-weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 holiday hours and paid parental leave for all full-time employees.
