Responsible for daily oversight of racing barn, making sure tasks are efficiently carried out including preparation of horses for daily activities of feeding, exercising, and training; liaising between employees and administration, overseeing staff of 15 to 25 employees, training new employees, enforcing feed and cleaning schedules, conducting daily inspections to ensure stable is neat and clean; creating feeding chart for use by team members; administering medicine to horses, examining horses’ physical condition, consulting with trainers and assistant trainers about schedules, horses’ conditions, and any special requirements.
