Sanborn Map Company Inc Product Manager in Colorado Springs, Colorado
SUMMARY: The Product Manager provides technical expertise for the business development and sales of Sanborn's software products and solutions through the engagement of customers and design of solutions that will meet customer use cases. The Product Manager serves as a bridge between business development and software development -- helping document and translate business and technical requirements into software and technical solutions. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES Design and lead customer presentations on Sanborn's software and technology solutions Manage the product roadmap for Sanborn software solutions with input from software, business development, the PMO and the Executive team Serve as the expert for Sanborn product capabilities in Sales situations Collaborate with Sales Team to clarify and document customer requirements Collaborate closely with Software Engineering Team to understand and document functions, limitations, technical architecture, and development road map of software products Design and prepare professional and engaging technical demonstrations to showcase capabilities of software products to existing and potential customers Document comprehensive business use cases and match customer requirements to proposed solutions Support estimating of development effort for proposed web application projects and products; Understand implementation risks and impacts Demonstrate expertise in recommendations of products and solutions to customers, clearly explaining how approach will be more effective for their particular use case. Work with stakeholders (customer, project manager, business analyst) to capture functional and non-functional requirements clearly Support marketing activities (webinars, videos, conference presentations, etc.) with technical expertise and demonstrations. Other job duties as assigned SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None QUALIFICATIONS Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, business or a related field (Master's preferred). Experience: 10+ years experience in a progressive business development and software engineering interface role supporting ongoing business needs. Thorough technical understanding the software development process Excellent presentation, communication, and customer engagement skills Ability to work across technical and non-technical teams to identify solutions Creative problem-solving skills Experience with large scale data platforms Salary Range: 120K - 170K annual Sanborn offers a comprehensive health and wellness program which includes medical, dental, vision, 401k, holiday, PTO, EAP, disability and life insurance benefits.
