Inventory Analyst – Colorado Springs, CO

The Inventory Control Analyst is accountable for warehouse inventory accuracy and the cycle count program to drive accurate perpetual records on the material stored in the facility. Responsible for the oversight of the materials departments to ensure the guidelines established by the materials playbook are being followed. Responsible to establish robust processes, checks and balances and execute strategic inventory plans to maintain solid inventory methods and discipline, and corporate inventory objectives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Management and maintenance of the cycle count process per standard work, including, but not limited to selection of parts to be counted, cycle count method and technique, reconciliation of counts to perpetual records, root cause analysis for errors, process change requests to reach goal and accuracy by location.

  • Supports financial cost containment through minimizing inventory loss, root-cause analyses, turnover rates, and space requirements.

  • Drives inventory accuracy improvements through the implementation of tools and process with cross functional teams in materials and production, to reduce cost and improve productivity.

  • Establishes targets for each inventory business segment and determine/monitor actions to achieve targets.

  • Maintains inventory and product loss control, ensures timely and accurate movement.

  • Ensures company policies and safety/operational guidelines are met.

  • Create and maintain processes and reports (daily, weekly, monthly) to ensure inventory is on target to established goals to meet the business needs, including inventory accuracy, cycle count metrics, and scrap processing.

  • Implement and enforce standard work across the functions.

  • Have weekly/monthly meetings with the Material Operations Manager to discuss results, root causes, and recommendations on improvement.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Must be a proactive change agent.

  • Must be analytical and have in depth knowledge of excel, reports and methods used to ensure inventory levels conducive to the business needs.

  • Must understand inventory classifications and coefficient variation.

  • In-depth knowledge of computerized integrated information systems (manufacturing, materials management, production planning, procurement, and distribution).

  • Must know how to influence bottom line results by reading data and making operational recommendations to leadership.

  • Must be a flexible, decisive, and a proactive problem solver.

  • Must be able to work well in high pressure, fast-paced environment.

  • Must be a strong communicator.

  • Must possess a strong customer service orientation and must provide dedicated support of internal customer requirements.

  • Must possess strong organizational skills, with ability to work on multiple priorities at once.

  • Must have solid interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate teams and to interact with various departments throughout the organization.

  • Must be resourceful, can find solutions to unusual problems and meet customer needs

  • Must have good understanding of manufacturing material flow in a plant

Education and Certifications Required:

APICS Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), or CPSM) or commitment to obtain within the first 18 months of employment recommended.

Experience and Skills Required:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the integrated functions of manufacturing

  • Experience in operations, inventory management, MRP and lean manufacturing processes.

  • Experience with visual inventory management systems.

  • Experience with ATP is a plus.

  • Expert in using Microsoft Excel. Power BI is a plus.

  • Must have proven track record of inventory control processes and methods and the impact to the overall business.

  • Desired experience with building checks and balances in the overall flow of material.

Compensation:

This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.

  • The expected Base Hourly Range: $16.97- $28.26. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
