To learn more, please visit www.ierustech.com/benefits Description: This is an opportunity to join the IERUS team as a Global System Safety Engineer supporting a large Missile Defense Agency program. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years’ experience and be responsible for, but not limited to; integration of the product lines, generation of responsible sections of the capability specifications, training less experienced personnel in SE and Safety techniques, reviewing the content and details of technical products, and acting as a technical interface to MDA working-level counterparts on an as required basis. This position will require the independent completion of safety analyses, including preliminary hazard analysis (PHA) and subsystem hazard analysis (SSHA), and support for incorporating updates into existing safety analysis reports (SARs). Required Qualifications: • B.S. in science/engineering or related field with a minimum of 10 years’ experience or M.S. in science/engineering or related field with a minimum of 7 years’ experience. • Security+ CE certification or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification; • Identification and definition of desired capabilities • Modeling the interrelationships between internal and external components • Communicating the desired capabilities to a diverse group of developers, engineers, subject matter experts, and users • Generating system/element level functional, performance, and interface specifications to document and control the achievement of the desired capabilities. • In-depth knowledge of systems engineering concepts, principles, and techniques. • Ability to get TS/ SCI Clearance. Location: Colorado Springs, CO The proposed salary range for this position is $109.4k - $160.2k. Salaries are commensurate with candidate experience and qualifications within the experience bandwidth, as well as market and business considerations. The position will also require travel; the candidate must travel to Huntsville and communicate closely with other system safety team members and leads.
