Robert Half is currently seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our client in a full-cycle accounting role. The responsibilities for the Full Charge Bookkeeper will encompass end-to-end accounting tasks including preparing financial statements, conducting trial balances, managing inventory, executing bank reconciliations, and handling fixed assets. The Full Charge Bookkeeper will also be tasked with overseeing payroll through Paychex and ensuring compliance with excise, state, and city taxes. Successful applicants should ideally hold a 2-year degree in accounting and come with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a bookkeeping role. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years experience in a full charge bookkeeping role within the retail industry

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential

• Hands-on experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Demonstrated ability in performing bank reconciliations

• Familiarity with Trial Balance procedures

• Experience in handling Fuel Tax, Sales Tax, and Excise Tax

• Knowledge of Sage 100 accounting software

• Previous experience with Paychex payroll system

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
