Job Summary

This position will provide strategic support to global engineering and quality teams. In this role, the contributor will build the foundation of analytics that drive value for our customers by working cross functionally with quality, engineering, product management, supply chain, and finance. This position includes scoping and developing KPIs, reports, and dashboards; as well as project-based analytics to identify issues, drive actionable improvements, and control quality costs. This position will create data and reporting used by leaders and individual contributors alike to uncover issues, drive continuous improvement, and monitor success of initiatives. Must be able to perform and respond in an extremely fast paced, flexible, team-oriented, and collaborative environment. This is a hybrid role with the expectation to come onsite three days per week.

Primary Duties

  • Analyze corporate data, such as defective product return credits or product development process metrics and provide guidance to the larger business on trends and opportunities.

  • Assist in development of visualization dashboards which will provide critical data and information on quality, product development, or supplier performance to end users.

  • Lead and develop contributors performing tasks in aggregation, transformation, and analysis of quality and engineering data related to product quality performance, product development throughput, and supplier performance.

  • Maintain open dialogue with other functional business areas to coordinate activities related to continuous improvement of product quality performance, product development throughput, and supplier performance.

  • Drive data accessibility and access throughout the global organization including quality, engineering, supply chain, and/or product management.

  • Lead assigned collaboration efforts in support of improved product quality and product development performance with internal cross functional customers.

  • Act as a subject matter expert for in Business Objects, Qlik, Excel or other reporting tools to assist general inquiries from engineering or quality contributors.

  • Support cross functional initiatives related to quality and engineering.

  • Help implement latest quality and engineering best practices and improvement strategies related to automotive product development such as ASQ, AIAG APQP, PPAP, etc.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Proven analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills

  • Advanced computer skills – particularly Microsoft Office applications, Power Query, and/or SQL

  • SAP experience a plus (particularly SAP QM)

  • Qlik and Business Objects experience a plus

  • Detail oriented, highly organized with exceptional time management skills

  • Strong written and oral communications skills

Education / Experience

  • B. S. in Business, Engineering, Mathematics or related field (MBA a plus)

  • 5+ Years of Business, Quality, or Engineering experience
