What we want
The Program Coordinator II assists the CHEER Directors in pre and post grant development, research presentations, compiling university and funder required reports and other duties related to the research mission of the Center.

Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience
Four years of experience in program coordination, management or related areas
Required Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and database applications
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to ensure understanding
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in public health, health education or social science
Knowledge of IRB protocols and procedures
Knowledge of on-line grant development and submission systems
Experience working with extramural funding, grant development and social science research
Responsibilities
Program Coordination: Works collaboratively to plan, develop and implement programs for the Center. Collaborates with others to create new programs and to improve existing programs.
Extramural Funding Development and Execution: Works with the center staff to identify extramural funding opportunities, coordinate biosketches, letters of support, budgets and other needed documents. Develops and submits IRB applications. Creates timelines and tracking documents to ensure work in completed on time.
Report Preparations: Prepares reports on CHEER activities and support dissemination through policy briefs and manuscripts.
Center Fiscal Activities: Oversees daily fiscal and purchasing activities, travel requests and completions, and assists in preparation and monitoring of Center budgets.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Activities: Works with Center related and university partners to find opportunities to enhance the Center’s mission.
