The Texas A&M University Human Behavior Laboratory (HBL) seeks a Postdoctoral Research Associate in behavioral economics, experimental economics, neuroeconomics or related fields to conduct research on decision making and choice process broadly defined, including but not limited to topics related to technology and innovation adoption, and automation. The HBL is a large facility with state-of-the-art equipment and software to simultaneously collect choice process data including eye tracking, facial expression analysis to assess human emotions, neural signals (electroencephalography), galvanic skin response (GSR) using incentivized experiments (https://hbl.tamu.edu).

Responsibilities

The position will work primarily on collaborative research at the HBL under the direction of lab professor and faculty affiliated with the HBL and the Institute for Advancing Health through Agriculture. The position will be actively involved in the design, implementation, and data analysis of incentivized experiments in the lab, field, and online. Develop a strong research portfolio and publication track-record. The position also requires responsibilities for supporting research and operations of the human behavior laboratory.

Required Education and Experience

  • PhD degree in economics, agricultural economics, applied economics with emphasis in behavioral economics, experimental economics, neuroeconomics, or related fields.

Required Knowledge, Abilities and Skills

  • Record of research achievement and commitment to pursue high-quality research.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

Preferred Knowledge, Abilities and Skills

  • Experience using biosensors, including eye tracking, EEG, facial expressions to assess emotions, galvanic skin response.

  • Programming skills in oTree.D
