These positions are located Statewide, housed within the regional offices.

General Information:

  • Clinician is a full-time (40 hours/week), classified, benefited position.

  • There may be some opportunity to telework (up to 2 days a week).

  • CANS Certification will be provided through the Division of Behavioral Health/Praed Foundation.

    EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:

  • Receive Qualified Residential Treatment Program (QRTP) assessment referrals from child welfare case managers.

  • Utilize the CANS assessment and Comprehensive Diagnostic Assessment tools within 30 days of child’s placement in a QRTP; re-screen as appropriate for six-month court hearings; utilize Decision Support Model to assure criterion met for treatment foster care, QRTP/RTC, or Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF).

  • Assist in court documentation to obtain needed court approval of QRTP placement; provide ongoing recommendation to court regarding QRTP placement, if appropriate.

  • Participate in case consultations regarding discharge and aftercare planning for those youth placed in QRTP.

  • Assist with obtaining director’s approval for extended QRTP placements, if appropriate.

  • Participate in case consultations for other youth in congregate care as identified to provide reassessment reports.

  • Participate in an foster parent support line, on-call rotation.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    You must possess all the minimum and specialty minimum qualifications below to pass the exam for this position.   • A Master's Degree (or higher) in a direct clinical practice Human Services field is required for this position.(Master's degree in social work, psychology, marriage and family counseling, marriage and family therapy, psychosocial rehabilitation counseling, psychiatric nursing, or very closely related field of study.)

    SPECIALTY MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A license in one of the following areas: Master Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).For licensure information please contact the Idaho Bureau of Occupational Licenses at http://ibol.idaho.gov/or (208)334-3233.
