Job Description Under general supervision, perform moderately complex accounting and analysis functions. Participate in daily and monthly accounting processes to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records. Ensure SOX procedures and controls are being complied with and working according to documentation. Ensure customer satisfaction and continual improvement of processes. Upholds the safety compliance standards inherent in PSE's operating and/or field procedures related to work responsibilities. Promotes and supports a culture of total safety. Demonstrates commitment to conduct business honestly, ethically and consistent with our core values and Code of Conduct. Ensures duties are performed in accordance with all regulatory compliance obligations. Job Responsibilities Resolves billing discrepancies with 40-50 counterparties for gas transactions and 40-50 counterparties for power settlements to meet monthly due dates Works with traders, schedulers, and mid-office personnel to resolve curtailments, with responsible parties Prepares monthly preliminary and updated cash forecasts for Accounts Payable/Treasury Prepares purchase orders/payment documents in SAP and coordinates with Accounts Payable and Treasury for payments/receipts Prepares journal entries and reconciles accounts Reviews EIM settlements at appropriate intervals and prepares weekly EIM invoice for Participating Resources and the EIM Entity Scheduling Coordinator group Resolves issues related to systems, Webtrader, Endur, SAP, PCI Responds to requests received from auditors, management, and other departments Perform moderately complex accounting, analysis and/or billing functions. Prepares and maintains data using financial analysis models. Prepares routine journal entries and reconciles accounts. Participates in the maintenance of the general ledger and/or other systems and databases. Prepares internal, external, and regulatory financial reports. Participates on special projects/research within the department and for management. Complies with internal controls and actively updates and tests for SOX 404 procedures. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting or equivalent combination of education and/or experience Good understanding of GAAP Good verbal and written skills Strong PC skills (including Excel, Word, Access) Desired Qualifications Experience with SAP Certified Public Accountant or candidate Certified Management Accountant or candidate Advanced Degree Additional Information At PSE we value and respect our employees and provide them opportunities to excel.
