State Street Bank & Trust Co. Enterprise Data Architect for Chief Data Office, Managing Director, Hybrid in Clifton, New Jersey

Who we are looking for

"Enterprise Data Architect" is a role that reports to Head of Enterprise Data within Chief Data Office.

This new role will ensure that enterprise data flows, especially those supporting regulatory reporting and risk and financial decision making, evolve to more streamlined data pathing with fewer hops and duplications. The Enterprise Data Architect would also assist with presenting enterprise data architecture flows, rationale, and strategy to regulators.

This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements.

What you will be responsible for

As Enterprise Data Architect you will be responsible for -

Enterprise Data Architecture strategy:
Developing and maintaining the overall data architecture, including data models, data flows, and data integration.
Creating data solutions that support business goals and objectives.

Data Integration:
Designing and implementing data integration processes and workflows.
Ensuring seamless data exchange between different systems and applications.
Defining patterns that can be executed to minimize data duplication across Enterprise.

Data Technology Evaluation and Selection:
Working with stakeholders in Enterprise to build consistent strategy around evaluating new data technologies, tools, and platforms to determine their suitability for the organization.
Recommending and implementing appropriate data management technologies.

Strategic Planning:
Developing long-term data architecture strategies that align with the organization's strategic goals.
Staying updated with industry trends and best practices in data architecture and management.

Data Modeling:
Developing and maintaining data models (conceptual, logical, and physical) for various data domains.
Ensuring data models support data consistency, reliability, and accessibility.

Data Security and Compliance:
Ensuring data architecture adheres to security policies and regulatory compliance requirements.
Implementing data security measures and access controls.

Interfacing with Data Governance & Data Domain programs:
Working with key members of Enterprise Data Management and Business Data Management teams to strengthen the data governance and data domain programs.

Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborating with IT, business units, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and align data architecture with business needs.
Communicating data architecture strategies and solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders including global regulators.

Documentation:
Creating and maintaining documentation related to data architecture, data models, data flows, and data integration processes.
Ensuring documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.

Mentoring and Training:
Providing guidance and mentoring to data architects, data engineers, and other team members.
Conducting training sessions to educate key team members on data architecture and best practices.

Education & Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors
10 years of relevant experience role in Architecture leadership and/or Data Leadership and/or Technology Leadership
Hands on experience in enterprise data architecture

Additional requirements
Work experience in working with global team and stakeholders is a plus

Salary Range:
$170,000 - $267,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
