JOB DESCRIPTION

As logistic coordinator apprentice you will coordinate distribution operations from France to 5 countries (UK, Ireland, Netherlands, Belgium and Luxemburg), representing 2400 customers locations, and Interact with our central warehouse in France and 3 carriers to ensure On Time In Full (OTIF) deliveries. You will part of a4 people team, including 1 logistic coordinator, 1 warehouse coordinator and 1 continuous improvement leader & process expert

Your main responsibilities will be:

Warehouse coordination:

  • Follow-up the order preparation and daily shipments, in coordination with our warehouse team, and act if any delay or deviations to coordinate corrective actions or alternative solutions;

  • Monitor and project the daily load & capacity of warehouse over a 2 to 5 days horizon and adjust in coordination with customer service (anticipation / postponement of orders);

  • Prepare and participate to the monthly business & KPI's review with the warehouse team;

  • Support and coordinate introduction of new customers / new carriers / new business requirements with the warehouse, in coordination with other departments at BIC.

Carriers coordination

  • Lead transport operations with the 3 carriers used to deliver the UK/IE/BENELUX markets: trucks scheduling with warehouse, follow shipments on time, quality of goods deliver, react to transport delay and find operations solutions in case of incidents (delay, missing paperwork / information, EDI issues...);

  • Prepare and anticipate with the carriers the Back To School season and the special transport operations during high season;

  • Prepare & participate to the monthly business & KPI's review with the carriers team, and define in collaboration with them the actions for operations improvements to reach KPI's targets;

  • Establish the pre-invoicing for carriers on monthly basis and control rates applied;

  • Liaising with carrier and customer service team, ensure customer delivery instructions are up to date and rightfully transmitted to the carrier.

Customer Service & commercial team coordination

  • Follow-up the operations forecast with sales & customer service teams, that will translate into delivery operations for the warehouse and carriers;

  • Coordinate special order operations and translate commercial needs into operations instructions with warehouse and carrier.

  • Analyse customer claims relating to warehouse or carrier responsibility and ensure it cascades into an action plan with the concerned party.

Performance & Cost follow-up

  • Analyse warehouse and carrier cost and deviations -vs- budget targets on monthly basis.

  • Present your results of service and cost performance to the General Management UK/BENELUX divisions during the monthly logistic-commercial internal BIC review.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Preparing a business school or university degree in Supply Chain

  • Excellent communication and coordination skills and are at ease to drive discussions, meetings and achieve compromises between parties;

  • Proactive and have a solution oriented mindset;

  • Ease with data analysis and proficient with MS Excel;

  • Fluency in english, daily usage
