*Position Summary: *Reporting directly to the Director of Construction, the Senior Project Manager will play a pivotal role in managing construction projects where CHN serves as the general contractor. This leadership position involves overseeing project teams, supervising the construction engineer, and fostering positive relationships with internal departments and external agencies to ensure successful project completion.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Track and manage construction budgets, change orders, field directives, RFI's, Submittals, O&M information, warranty, and project closeout.
  • Work directly for the general contractor and actively engage in preconstruction activities, including budget and schedule development during real estate development financial application periods.
  • Collaborate with Architects and Engineers during the design and value-engineering phase.
  • Submit RFQs and RFPs to obtain accurate estimates and detailed schedules.
  • Perform contract buyouts for each project.
  • Oversee project teams and ensure adherence to safety plans on all projects.
  • Coordinate with the Safety and Quality Control Manager on all projects.
  • Manage projects from conception through the award and design phases to construction and warranty periods.
  • Actively manage team members to ensure effective progress.
  • Regularly communicate with the owner and other relevant parties.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

Required:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field. 15 years of experience equivalent in lieu of a degree.

     

Experience:                

  • 15+ years of Project Management in new construction of multi-family residential and/or commercial construction projects, 5+ years of LIHTC experience, 5+ years of preconstruction experience.
  • Managed projects of $15M-$20M in magnitude.

*Skills: *

Procore experience or construction management software for electronic communication.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
