Job Description The Rockwell Automation University (RAU) School of Technology is a team that serves all of Rockwell Automation by raising the competency level of hands-on technical resources. Rockwell Automation University provides comprehensive training and learning to our employees, partners, and customers to improve their skillsets. Our goal is to upskill engineers through a mix of formal learning either through eLearning, instructor-led, virtual training, and more. We are looking for an engineer who will develop and deliver technical training on Rockwell Automation Motion products. Reporting to the Supervisor of RAU Delivery, you will focus on educating Rockwell Automation engineers and Rockwell Automation Distributor Partners on Motion products. Specifically upskilling these partners on the skills needed to support sales, configure, deploy, and troubleshoot. Work with RAU Delivery Leaders, Development Leaders, and Project Managers to understand training needs of the stakeholders Be highly tied into the product businesses to develop and deploy world class training to RA employees, partners, and customers Understand our audience needs Develop training materials for eLearning, remote instructor lead, or in classroom formats to suit the needs of each audience through technical writing, interactive presentations, and other learning practices Deliver specific training in a classroom or virtual classroom to achieve learning objectives Work with supervisor and business to identify personnel to prepare for and staff training events The Essentials - You Will Have Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physics, or relevant equivalent experience Legal authorization to work in the US is required- we will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, no or in the future, for this job opening Ability to travel on occasion The Preferred - You May Have 5+ years' experience in Rockwell Automation motion products. This includes sales, configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting. Experience with Motion products such as Kinetix, iTrak, and MagneMotion Subject Matter Expert in the development and deployment of applications involving Motion; this includes basicapplication designand troubleshooting level knowledge aligned tocustomeroutcomes Define concise learning goals given internal training and guidance Develop and deliver technical training to achieve specified learning goals Train and mentor others through content creation and personal interaction Balance competing requirements and interests, with focus on top priorities, finding opportunities to achieve win-win or obtain acceptance/consensus to compromise Excellent written and oral communication skills, including speaking in front of small and large groups and ability to write & maintain technical documentation Participate in customer-facing engagements as required to develop expertise in customer requirements of products, technologies, and solutions Conducts technical training for internal employees and partners in the use ofcompanyproducts, applications, solutions, andtroubleshooting Serve as a technicalmentor, adviser, etc. for students, RAU, ands
