Case Western Reserve University Research Participant Recruitment Manager in Cleveland, Ohio

POSITION OBJECTIVE 

The Clinical and Translational Science Collaborative (CTSC) of Cleveland is a consortium based at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) linking clinical and translational research efforts at seven independent institutions¿CWRU, University Hospitals, Cleveland Clinic, MetroHealth System, Louis Stokes Cleveland Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Northeast Ohio Medical University and University of Toledo. The goal of the $56.3 million NIH-awarded CTSC is to transform how clinical and translational research is conducted and enable the School of Medicine (with more than 40 participating faculty) and its partners to provide integrated clinical and translational research capability and educational opportunities due to complex and ever-changing responsibilities in relationship to the 6 separate institutional sites.

Working with a high degree of independence, the Research Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in advancing clinical and translational research efforts across multiple partner institutions. The role is crucial for facilitating collaboration with CTSC senior leadership and scientific program leaders to assist with engaging diverse participant populations within clinical research studies to generate results that are applicable to a broader population. Expanding upon existing, well-developed, and knowledgeable integration of special populations, this role will initiate systematic approaches and methods to help study teams enhance clinical trial recruitment of special populations across CTSC partner institutions.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Plan and execute experiments for research projects and recruitment strategies designed by the principal investigator and may design experiments independently and in collaboration with CTSC leadership. Assist with and coordinate recruitment efforts and experiments performed by other team members, ensuring adequate resources, assisting with experimental design and analysis. Research, analyze, plan, document, and guide the execution of operational and recruitment activities for ensuring effective, culturally appropriate, compliant recruitment and retention of subjects for clinical research projects. Collaborate with research teams at the CTSC¿s partner institutions and local and national community partners to develop recruitment plans for clinical trials and create novel retention plans to support subject participation in research. Serve as the primary contact for ResearchMatch and work with investigators to enter their clinical trials into the Research Match platform, follow-up with investigators and the CTSC¿s partner institutions for regulatory compliance, and recruit participants into clinical trials using the platform. Maintain accurate records of data and provide findings and recommendations to senior leadership based on analysis. (30%)

Work closely with the Director of Strategic Partnerships and Research Development, Assistant Director of Research Concierge Services, Assistant Director of Research Content and Production, Principal Investigator and CTSC module leadership to support the implementation of community engagement, marketing, and recruitment strategies for research and for study teams to support protocol specific goals. Oversee progress of the research projects and recruitment strategies and provide regular progress reports to CTSC leadership; and provide input and recommendation to the team regarding significant developments in research projects. Ensure the leadership is informed about the results recruitment strategies and ensure recruitment strategy is explored team lab members. Collect, analyze, and interpret research participant feedback data to ensure research processes are being developed and conducted with a patient focused approach. C
