Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a diligent Quality Assurance Specialist to support and maintain our quality system processes. The incumbent will be tasked with upholding quality assurance standards, processes, and controls, primarily over Hydrochloric acid products. The role involves close collaboration with various departments, including Manufacturing, Quality Control, Maintenance, Shipping, and Receiving. The Quality Assurance Specialist will be expected to operate in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating self-starting capabilities. Normal business hours are Monday to Friday, with potential overtime or weekend/holiday work to support Manufacturing and Lot Release activities.

Hard Skills

  • Generation, review, and archival of GMP manufacturing documents

  • Conducting internal and external audits

  • Review and release of raw materials, intermediate and finished products

  • Review and approval of OOS, deviations, nonconformance, and investigations

  • Coordination of CAPA, OOS, deviations, nonconformance, and investigations

  • Maintenance of systems compliance with current SOPs

  • Assistance in writing, revising, and approving SOPs and work instructions

  • Review and approval of SOPs, protocols, and reports

  • Coordination and/or conducting of GMP and SOP training

  • Generation, publication, and management of quality systems metrics

  • Scanning/archiving of GMP documents

  • Assistance in QMS related functions, including calibration, release, etc.

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Cleveland, Ohio and some days remote.

Work Environment

This position operates in both a manufacturing setting and a professional office environment. It involves the use of standard office equipment and occasional exposure to loud noises or fumes in the plant facility. The role requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including officials, plant managers, and employees. The physical demands include occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
