CSP Tech I PRN - Central Sterile Processing

Biweekly Hours: 8.00

Shift: 7-3:30p/9-5:30p/10-6:30p/11a-7:30p/3-11:30p/11p-7:30a

Summary:

Responsible for maintaining adequate supply levels in sterile storage area, rotating stock as appropriate, pulling case carts for the daily surgical schedule, stocking and delivering case and supply carts, and retrieving all unused and soiled carts, equipment, instrumentation, and supplies from the operating room, general hospital, and plaza clinics. Also, responsible for reprocessing instrumentation, trays, packs, basin sets, and patient care equipment and various data entry functions. Qualifications:

Required: High school diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam. Currently enrolled in an approved CSPD training program and/or enrolled in classes for CSPD training. Good communication skills and phone etiquette.

Preferred: Basic PC skills. Sterile processing or Central Service experience and/or certification in sterile processing. Medical instrument processing experience. Experience with materials management and/or operating room information systems. Medical terminology. Basic PC skills.

Physical Requirements: May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day. May need to sit or stand for extended periods. See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Ability to push/pull 350 pounds. Ability to lift 35 pounds. Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids. Requires some exposure to chemicals.
