Summary:

The IT Applications Functional Manager QM executes global IT plans by leading the IT Logistics & Operations applications team specializing in QM SAP and other QMS systems. This role supports business strategy, manages QM projects, and ensures quality control best practices.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage QMS applications and adhere to Quality Control best practices.

  • Lead IT projects for QM implementations using waterfall and Agile methodologies.

  • Drive continuous product enhancement and innovation in QM-related initiatives.

  • Empowers team to be productive and accountable; assumes personal accountability for team outcomes in all areas of responsibility.

Key Duties:

  • Build effective relationships with business and IT partners.

  • Contribute to IT strategic plans aligned with business objectives.

  • Oversee project delivery, risk assessment, and issue resolution.

  • Ensure IT operational compliance and quality standards.

  • Drive knowledge sharing and facilitate IT communications.

  • Mentor and lead IT teams to support business innovation and solutions.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Required Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in accounting principles and practices.

  • Excellent problem-solving and process improvement skills.

  • Strong knowledge of IT services, processes, and testing methods.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and external service management.

  • Leadership, mentoring, and coaching abilities

  • In-depth understanding of Grifols business processes.

  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.

  • Experience in estimating, budgeting, and negotiating.

  • Strong detail orientation and multitasking abilities.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

  • Proficient in English; Spanish communication skills desirable.

Quality Management Systems (QMS) Skills:

  • Project leadership in Quality systems implementation.

  • Experience with SAP QM module and market-standard QMS products.

  • Proficient in user training, testing management, and stakeholder engagement.

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with validated and GXP environments.

  • Experience with other QM logistics SAP modules (e.g., WM/EWM, PM, PP).

  • Knowledge of S/4 HANA and change management.

  • Proactive approach to project management and problem-solving.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or Business Administration.

  • Minimum 8 years of related experience; supervisory experience preferred.

Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment. Frequently sits for 4-6 hours per day. Frequent hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists. Occasionally walks. Occasionally bends and twists neck. Light to moderate lifting and carrying objects with a maximum lift of 35lbs. Frequently drives to other facilities. Able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken and written words and sentences. Frequently interacts with others, relates sensitive information to diverse groups.
