Oracle Software Development Director in Ciudad de Buenos Aires, Argentina

Job Description

The Database Division Security team aims to provide our customers with the most secure products and services for their enterprises. We work on projects that make our products resilient to exploitation. We establish and drive to a high level of security criteria, and conduct security consulting and review for engineering. As director of the Security Research team, you will help drive our commitment to enterprise security. Top candidates are passionate about security and are have in-depth experience in one or more specific security topics.

Responsibilities

  • Provide security consultancy and advice to test and development teams, helping them achieve their design and release objectives.

  • Perform security design review and code reviews.

  • Educate and advocate security and safe coding practices in our products.

  • Conduct research to identify new attack vectors against our products and services.

  • Develop technical solutions that measure our effectiveness in testing for security vulnerabilities.

  • Develop technical solutions to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and make security easier for developers.

  • Oversee the work performed by the Security Research Team

  • Mentor new Security Researchers

Preferred qualifications:

  • 10 years relevant work experience, including experience in one or more of: Oracle database security and PL/SQL, C/C++/java/python code vulnerabilities, as well as experience with the enterprise software security models.

  • Significant development experience in Java, PL/SQL, C, C++.

  • Foundation in and in-depth technical knowledge of security engineering, computer and network security, authentication, security protocols and applied cryptography.

  • Need to be motivated to learn independently and conduct self-directed research.

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
