Kelly Services Quality Assurance Technician in City of Industry, California

Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $25-$27 per hour (DOE)

Schedule: Must be able to work a rotating schedule every 2 weeks: Monday-Wednesday & then Thursday-Saturday 6am-6pm.

What’s a typical day as a Quality Assurance Technician? You’ll be:

• Supporting and overseeing all aspects of quality and controls to ensure the integrity and safety of the product

• Working directly with management to uphold and review processes, policies, and procedures

• Conducting GMP walk-throughs and audits

• Verifying the implementation of Critical Control Points (CCPs) and preventive controls

• Performing sensory tests on baked goods to ensure quality standards are met

• Monitoring storage conditions, cooking/oven temperatures, and product consistency

• Verifying correct packaging and labeling of products

• Conducting equipment calibrations and validations

• Enforcing sanitation practices and preventing contamination

• Collaborating with team members to maintain a safe and efficient work environment

• Documenting control and filing

• Reviewing Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for conformance to specifications

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Have a High School Diploma or GED and 2+ years of experience in a food manufacturing environment

• Have an Associate of Science or related area of study, and 1+ years of quality assurance experience in a food manufacturing environment

• Possess knowledge of Good Manufacturing Program (GMP) standards

• Are knowledgeable and experienced in general food safety programs and policies, including government regulations, FDA, USDA, AIB, HACCP, GMP, and Allergen Programs

• Are proficient in MS Applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Have good interpersonal skills

• Are self-motivated and enthusiastic about taking initiative and facing challenges
