Details: A Systems Reliability Engineer job working REMOTELY from anywhere in the U.S. is currently available at Belcan. This position supports our Bellevue, WA location. Our Reliability Engineering consultants are experts in systems engineering methodologies and tools. Additionally, they have complex product and system development experience, with skills in systems engineering, technical project management, and team leadership. They are proactive self-starters who adapt and can orient to new situations quickly and apply logical problem-solving skills to solve customers' most challenging issues. Successful Reliability Engineering consultants typically have a foundation in systems design and have extensive experience in most phases of the product development life cycle.* The nature of our engineering work and assignments varies depending on the specific customer engagements; our immediate needs are in the aerospace development field.* * System Reliability Engineer job duties:* * Lead and perform reliability analyses (Failure Modes & Effects Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis, Reliability modelling, Architecture Safety Assessments, Hazards Analysis, Process Hazard Analysis, System Safety Risk Assessment, etc.)* * Use the insights from your team engagements and analytic efforts to influence designs to improve the reliability performance and avoid redesigns later in the lifecycle* * Document results of reliability analyses and risk assessments* * Coordinate Reliability products for multiple subsystems to ensure consistency and complete coverage* * Provide advice and counsel on pertinent reliability-related regulations, standards, and processes* * Contribute and add value to client projects in the areas of requirements analysis and management; system architecture and design; system integration, system verification and validation; technical program management, cross-functional leadership, technical issue resolution, or product management* * Use engineering and program management principles to develop an approach tailored to the need, the system, the customer, and the development organization* * Develop and nurture long term customer relationships* * Recognize client needs that may lead to additional opportunities* * Keep abreast of current and emerging technologies and tools related to your field (e.g. Agile development methods, Model-Based Systems Engineering, etc.)* * Qualifications:* * Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science, Mathematics or related scientific degree* * 5+ years strong Reliability analysis experience with applying different standards and choosing appropriate standards to achieve optimal reliability insight.* * Experience generating system documentation, especially FHA, FTA, FMECA, ASA,* * Experience with systems engineering tools such as DOORS Next Generation and JAMA, Windchill* * Experience with using MBSE tools (such as Cameo) to influence the reliability of the design & support your analyses* * Experience working in complex system development and/or sustaining projects in a technical and/or system engineering capacity* * Proficiency in Systems Engineering and Project Management methods and practical application* * US Citizenship only* * You are an ideal candidate if you also have:* * Experience working in Aerospace or other regulated industries such as defense, medical* * Knowledge of hardware, software, or system certification processes* * Experience and proficiency with utilizing NASA-STD-8729.1A* * * Aptitude to work collaboratively and drive consensus and alignment within and across organizational boundaries* * Ability to influence executives, key-decision-makers and highly technical resources* * Strong verbal and written communication skills* * Master's Degree in engineering, or the Sciences* * We provide a competitive pay and benefits package.
