UC HEALTH LLC Registered Nurse (RN) Case Management Supervisor, Full-Time, First Shift in CINCINNATI, Ohio

Location: UCMC Department: Care Management Services Hours: Full-Time, 40 Hours/Week Shift: First, 8:30a-5p UC Health is hiring a Full-time Registered Nurse (RN) Case Management Supervisor for the Care Management Service's department for first shifts at University of Cincinnati Medical Center. The Supervisor of RN Case Management is responsible for ensuring quality standards and provides guidance to ensure patient centered case management services are being provided to patients on a daily basis. The supervisor is responsible to train and support case management staff and monitor the ongoing performance of the case management team. Education and Required Experience:

  • Minimum: Bachelor of Nursing, BSN
  • Registered Nurse in State of Ohio, Certification in Case Management strongly preferred (ACM or CCM)
  • 6-10 years of equivalent experience required
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply clinical decision support/medical necessity criteria.
  • Current knowledge of rules, regulations, policies and procedures related to regulatory, licensing, and accrediting agencies required.
  • Knowledge and training in multiple computer systems required to perform position responsibilities (i.e. EPIC, Microsoft Office, Midas, etc.).
  • Experience in an academic medical center or multi-hospital system preferred.
  • Effective interpersonal skills to work with a wide range of personalities while working collaboratively in a self-directed detailed oriented work team environment. Remains poised under stress.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple, complex activities with tight deadlines, establish priorities and manage time effectively.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills required for establishing and maintaining relationships with Physicians, supervisors, peers, subordinates, patients, and payers.
  • Demonstrate initiative and responsibility for professional nursing practice.
  • Effective conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
