The Manufacturing/Process Engineer II for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for being a key support role for production to verify equipment and processes are being followed to engineering standards in addition to identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities for the site.

This position is part of the Manufacturing Operations Department located in Hebron, KY, and will be onsite. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time

You will be a part of the Manufacturing Team and report to the Director of Operations, responsible for working with supervisors, engineers, and technicians to support production line associates, equipment, and processes. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Make critical decisions based on Water Purification systems, Pooling, Filling, and Packaging studies for production operations.

  • Advocate/Implement DBS training and tools for the manufacturing site and support Kaizens and sustainment initiatives.

  • Design/implement and Print 3D Drawings to conceptualize improving new or existing equipment or processes.

  • Assist with management of the AMMS PM system, generation and completion of PMs to remain within compliance, and identify and implement process improvement opportunities across the site.

  • Collaborate with multiple departments to create/update quality control documents to standardize SOPs, work instructions or improvement opportunities for production operations working in FDA-controlled environments using cGMP’s.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in the engineering field with 2+ years of experience OR Master’s Degree in the engineering field with 0+ years of experience.

  • Experience with some or all of the following software: AutoCAD, Solid Works, Ladder Logic, Microsoft Excel (macro/VBA coding), Microsoft Word (Document Redlining), and project management tools.

  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently problem solve, identify root causes and propose/implement solutions

  • Proven ability to organize tasks and deliver projects based on priorities including project timeline deliverables and following all PPE/OSHA, and compliance guidelines and requirements.
