Description

OVERVIEW

Cadrex is currently seeking a Warehouse Associate I to join our team. This role is pivotal to our warehouse operations, where you'll undertake diverse tasks such as receiving, sorting, packing, and shipping materials. Your keen eye for detail, adeptness at following instructions, and dedication to upholding a tidy and orderly warehouse environment will significantly enhance the efficiency and productivity of our operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receive incoming materials and supplies, verifying accuracy and quality against purchase orders or delivery documents

  • Sort and organize materials in designated locations, ensuring proper storage and easy accessibility

  • Pack and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

  • Utilize warehouse management systems or manual documentation to record inventory transactions and maintain accurate records

  • Assist in loading and unloading trucks, ensuring proper handling and storage of materials

  • Conduct inventory counts and assist in performing regular cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy

  • Follow established procedures and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment

  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize warehouse processes and enhance productivity

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, including sweeping, organizing shelves, and disposing of packaging materials

  • Assist in other warehouse-related tasks as assigned by supervisors

Requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred but not required

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to follow instructions accurately

  • Physical stamina to perform manual tasks, including lifting, carrying, and moving heavy objects

  • Basic computer skills to utilize inventory management systems or other warehouse software

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills to work effectively with colleagues and supervisors

  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Flexibility to work different shifts and overtime as needed

  • Familiarity with warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks or forklifts, is a plus but not required

  • Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment and following established safety protocols

SCHEDULE

  • Monday-Thursday, 6:00 am-4:30 pm

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
