Trade Support Specialist

A well-established Chicago-based trading group is looking for an experienced Trade Support to contribute to their growing IT team. This full-time position will focus on supporting trading applications, resolving technical issues and ensuring smooth day to day operations. You will be utilizing your experience with FIX protocols, active directory and Microsoft 365 to bring an exceptional level of support to users.

This position offers clear avenues for growth as well as the opportunity to work within a team of IT professionals. You will leverage your expertise to make a meaningful impact, guaranteeing mission critical infrastructure runs seamlessly. This is a hands-on role that offers continuous learning and robust opportunities for advancement.

Required Skills & Experience

• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar field

• 3+ years of experience providing technical support in a Trade Environment

• Knowledge of trading applications and protocols

• Experience escalating support tickets and using ticketing applications

• Ability to set up, configure and troubleshoot office devices (Laptops, Printers, Mobile)

• Proficiency with Microsoft365 tools and applications

Desired Skills & Experience

• Proficiency in Scripting with Bash or Python

• Any IT Support Certifications

• Knowledge of basic Network Troubleshooting

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Understanding of compliance regulations

What You Will Be Doing

Tech Breakdown

• 60% Trade/Application Support (Active Directory, FIX, Microsoft365, Multicast)

• 40% End-User Support ( Printers, Desktop, Mobile Devices)

Daily Responsibilities

• Fulfill tickets efficiently and in timely manner

• Maintain and update company devices and applications

• Provide remote technical support to any users

• Troubleshoot trading applications, escalating more complex issues

• Basic connectivity and network troubleshooting
