As a reflection of our continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity to join our accounting team as the Senior Manager, Revenue & Patient Accounting.

This senior manager position will manage one associate and oversee key financial processes related to patient revenue recognition, gross and net AR, and cash collection. This role will specifically support our efforts to advance and ensure a solid and data driven foundation for revenue cycle management and the impact to the financial statements while building tools / reporting to enable the revenue accounting team to monitor business performance more effectively as well as partner with the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) and IT teams for future tools being built. This role will need to be comfortable with data, influencing, and understanding business partner needs, and building of tools / reports in current software e.g. PowerBI, Alteryx, SQL, etc. The position requires an individual who has a basic understanding of revenue recognition in accordance with company and accounting standards (e.g., ASC 606). This position has flexibility with work location.

Responsibilities

· Become proficient with the end-to-end revenue to cash cycle and all the systems, tools, and vendor solutions utilized. Includes dental insurance plans and healthcare financing programs.

· Lead the design and development of data visualization dashboards that analyze key aspects of the end-to-end RCM cycle that impacts the accuracy of revenue recognition and related allowances.

· Ensure company policy and general accepted accounting principles for revenue recognition are consistently applied through data analytics.

· Oversee and review the accuracy of revenue mapping between front-end (Practice Management Systems), data warehouses, general ledger (Workday).

· Conduct in-depth financial analysis related to accuracy of revenue streams, identifying trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.

· Design and implement cash collections waterfalls using various modalities to support the accuracy of revenue recognition. Provide key insights to Executives, Accounting, IT, and RCM stakeholders.

· Analyze revenue and accounts receivable accounts to ensure posting and mapping accuracy.

· Work closely with RCM and IT to set policy and best practices.

· Analyze and recommend changes to Warranty & Deferred revenue reserves.

· On a monthly basis, review bad debt reserve methodology and associated calculations to ensure proper valuation.

· Acting as a key member for external annual audit and transaction related due diligence requests.

· Special projects and ad-hoc requests as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, MIS, or related field and 3+ years of experience conducting mathematical or statistical research, analysis and modeling intelligence.

· Public or private accounting experience within the healthcare industry with experience in revenue cycle management a plus

· Knowledge of SQL reporting, Big Query and/or Microsoft SQL.

· Advanced proficiency utilizing data mining tools (e.g., Alteryx, Python, SAS, MS products, etc.)

· Advanced proficiency utilizing BI Visualization Tools (e.g., Power BI, Looker, Tableau, etc.)

· Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.

· Advanced Microsoft Office skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

· Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to multi-task and operate independently.

Preferred Education and Experience

· Master’s degree in accounting, MIS, or related field.

· Experience with Workday ERP system.

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 + bonus opportunity.
