As the Ultrasound FP&A Planning Manager, you will be responsible for building the standard processes and actionable plans to ensure our long-term planning is successful. In this role, you will report to the ULS Sr. Manager Planning & Investor Relations.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

Strategic Planning and Analysis:

  • Long-Term Financial Strategy: Lead the development of the 3-year long-term financial strategy and annual budget to deliver organic growth, margin improvements, and cash flow in alignment with business expectations.

  • Scenario Analysis: Conduct detailed scenario analysis to evaluate potential risks and opportunities and provide recommendations to senior management.

  • Model Development: Create and maintain complex financial models to support strategic decision-making processes, including mergers and acquisitions, new product launches, and market expansions.

  • Reporting: Prepare comprehensive financial performance reports, including EBIT walks, to highlight key business drivers such as volume, pricing, mix, EOP & inflation, investments, cost productivity, and FX impacts.

Business Partnership:

  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including regions, central services, and supply chain, to understand market drivers, offerings, and overall business performance.

  • Strategic Planning Sessions: Participate in strategic planning sessions and provide financial guidance to support business initiatives.

Market and Industry Analysis:

  • Industry Trends: Stay up to date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive dynamics that may impact the company's financial performance.

  • Benchmarking: Conduct benchmarking studies to compare the company's performance against industry peers and identify areas for improvement.

  • Market Analysis: Monitor and analyse market trends, industry dynamics, and competitor activities to provide strategic insights for senior management on operating and financial decisions.

Process Improvement:

  • Future State Development for Planning Processes: Lead the initiative to design and implement new planning processes for ULS, spanning from quarterly forecasts (MOR) to a three-year strategic outlook (LTS). Collaborate closely with Group, Regional teams and other relevant stakeholders to enhance and streamline long-term planning cycle.

  • Efficiency Enhancement: Continuously seek opportunities to improve financial planning processes, tools, and systems to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

  • Best Practices: Implement best practices in financial planning and analysis to support the company's growth and profitability objectives.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across all levels of the organization.

  • Presentations: Present financial findings and strategic recommendations to executive leadership, facilitating informed decision-making.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. MBA or CFA designation preferred.

  • Experience: Significant experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within the MedTech or healthcare industry.

  • Skills: Strong analytical and modelling skills, excellent communication and presentation abilities, proficiency in financial software and ERP systems, and a solid understanding of GAAP and financial regulations.

  • Attributes: Strategic thinker with a proactive approach, attention to detail, ability to manage multiple high-priority projects and deliverables in a fast-paced environment, and a collaborative team player.
