Description We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, you will take on the responsibility of managing account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations. Your role will also involve maintaining general ledgers and handling journal entries.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing account reconciliation to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Carrying out balance sheet reconciliation tasks regularly.

• Conducting bank reconciliations as part of financial management.

• Maintaining the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date.

• Handling journal entries, ensuring they are correctly recorded and processed.

• Utilizing Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks.

• Managing month-end close procedures efficiently.

• Operating NetSuite, Oracle, SAP for various financial functions.

• Applying hospitality management skills in financial decision-making processes. Requirements • Holds a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field

• Has a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role

• Demonstrates proficiency in account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation

• Shows expertise in handling bank reconciliations

• Has experience with general ledger operations and journal entries

• Is proficient in Microsoft Excel and has the ability to manage large datasets

• Has experience in month-end close procedures

• Has experience with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP accounting software

• Possesses strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Has a solid understanding of hospitality management

• Is able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

• Demonstrates a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement

• Has the ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Is able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously

• Has a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion

• Has a CPA certification (preferred but not required)
